A few words from our Centre Director, Sharon.

With over 50 years of combined experience, our leadership team — drawing on my 20 years in early learning and the strong expertise of our Assistant Director and Educational Leader — are well-equipped to create a centre where children, families, and educators can truly thrive.

I am deeply passionate about supporting the growth of children, families, and educators through meaningful relationships and shared learning. I believe in nurturing each child’s curiosity, interests, and understanding of the world around in an environment that fosters connection and discovery.

My goal is to build a welcoming, inclusive space where everyone feels valued, supported, and inspired to grow—together.

About the Centre

Edge Early Learning Angle Vale – Merlot Road is a new custom-designed childcare centre featuring spacious indoor learning rooms with dedicated atelier art spaces that enable children to express themselves through creativity. Outdoor play spaces are equipped with bike tracks, sandpits, teepees and water play stations.

Our Teach A Rainbow educational program is a nurturing approach designed to support your child’s curiosity, creativity, and essential developmental skills. It fosters social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth through engaging play-based experiences.

Embracing an inquiry-based approach to early learning, we foster a culture of curiosity, enabling children to ask questions, discover new interests, and cultivate a passion for lifelong learning.

Fortnightly Library Van Visits

Every fortnight we have the local library van come to the centre. Regular library van visits help to foster a lifelong love of learning and reading while enriching the early learning experience for each child. These visits introduces children to the concept of libraries in a fun, interactive way. It familiarises them with borrowing books and library routines, making them more likely to visit libraries in the future.

I’ve just recently moved my two girls to Merlot Road from a different centre. The entire team have gone above and beyond to ensure we had a smooth transition and that my daughters health and dietary requirements would be taken seriously. I’m beyond grateful for their commitment and dedication to taking care of our children, I can go to work comfortably knowing they’re in safe hands. For the first time in four years my daughter is coming home and telling me about everything she’s learnt daily, teaching me songs and talking about her new friends. Just in a few short weeks, incredible improvement in every aspect. Thankyou so much to the team at Edge Merlot Road 🙏

My son started here this year, its only early but we can already tell the complete difference in him. He's really enjoying going to "my new kindy" and always comes home with stories about his day. Our boy generally sees Keisha in his room and definitely likes her and enjoys being in the room with her. In the afternoons when we pick him up one of the staff are quick to come and tell us what he has eaten and done for the whole day. I couldn't recommend this Kindy more and I wish he was here in the years before now as he's going to school next year but he's here now.
